How can
we recognize a socially responsible company without resources for mass
communication? All of us know that television is very important to promote our
projects. However, all businesses can’t spend a lot of money to appear on
the screen. In this article, we’ll discover some strategies to create a good
social reputation and perform visible RSE projects for the public eyes.
1.-
Creating strategic alliances: Many professionals who work in Social
Responsibility make a serious mistake when they don´t try to explain
their social responsibility. Not enough to say: See our website.
It’s very important to realize actions and agreements with organizations and
professional for social responsibility who have a communications channel like a
blog, website, newpapers, etc) to spread projects about social
responsibility of our business. If we do this, we can get more public
attention and have more recognition for the RSE in our country. Moreover, the
cost of advertising online is cheaper than advertising on TV.
2.- Interacting
in social networks: Not using Social Networks is one of the biggest mistakes
that businesses make. Not only facebook and twitter are a boom for businesses,
but also to promote items and to communicate RSE project. Furthermore, it’s
free. The most important thing to know is how to get the millions of cyberusers
in a creative way and answer public comments. All these good skills speak
highly of your company to influence people. One way to get to the public is to
get the most from world events without saturing the public. Nowadays, many
companies use the World Cup to promote their RSE projects. You can gain
attention, using creative phrases like Do you know that our company promotes
the RSE World Cup?
3.- Keeping in touch with the
public. Radio, television and social networks are not the only way to publish
our RSE projects. During these days, Expo fairs, seminars and volunteer
programs have become the greatest channels for RSE. It is 'value added' as in
the empathy that they can generate for the public during the communication and
participation in the social networks. Generally, the participation in these
events varies between 2 or 3 times per year. Each year, Peru 2021 organizes RSE
EXPO in the Pontificie Catolica University where more than 60 public and
private companies showcase their RSE projects.
4.- Participating in contest about
RSE: Nowadays, There are communication media and organization which recognize
and reward companies that contribute the most to sustainable development. This
is a good opportunity to communicate our RSE project without any expenses by
advertisement. One of the famous contest is the Integration award by RPP News.
5.- Collaborating in RSE
investigations: Many students and professionals are interested in
the RSE. They are looking for companies which wants to collaborate with thesis
projects, masters, etc. Unfortunately in Peru, there are scarcity of RSE
research. If many companies support RSE research, they will be known as RSE
companies. Additional to that, they will be recognized in the search engines as
a company that contributes to scientific research.
